Utility bills have been removed by Google Business Profiles (GBP) as acceptable proof for suspended listings. AfterJuly 2025, Google will only accept government-issued evidence of corporate entity as a result of this change.

  • Official business registration
  • A business license
  • Tax certificates

By demanding more thorough, difficult-to-spoof paperwork, this modification probably attempts to combat bogus listings. For any GBP appeals or verifications, businesses—especially new and home-based ones—must now make sure they have these formal documentation on hand.
